Forward-thinking Transdev subsidiary the Keighley Bus Company has unveiled a bright new look for its popular ‘Dalesway’ service between Keighley and Skipton, as it looks beyond the pandemic with bigger and better buses to get everyone flocking back on board.
The relaunch sees newer double deck buses taking to the road, each one packed with customer-friendly features including fast and free Wi-Fi and USB power points at every seat – and from now on, ‘shear luxury’ leather seating to add first class comfort to the beautiful Yorkshire views from the top deck.
The Dalesway buses also feature a new and colorful branded design featuring the service’s own cheeky character Dale the sheep, who can be spotted by sharp-eyed younger passengers getting up to all kinds of mischief on the inside of every bus!
Dalesway is one of our most popular services, and the extra space and comfort on these newer buses will be much appreciated by our customers.
It’s an ideal time for us to bring in these bigger and better buses, as more people will be looking to get out and about when pandemic travel restrictions are eased. For now, our timetables will remain the same as we continue to focus on providing travel for key workers and others making essential journeys.
The Dalesway service is also very popular with NHS workers traveling to Airedale Hospital, and students at Craven College and Skipton College are now back on board with us as well. And while our buses are bigger and better, our prices are staying the same – so no-one will end up being fleeced!

Ticket options for travel on Dalesway include money-saving daily and season tickets available to buy on board using cash or contactless card, through the Transdev Go mobile app or on a smartcard. Seven-day, 28-day and monthly subscription tickets are also available for regular customers.
