Innovative Finance: Crowdfunding solar power in Portugal

In 2024, the Akuo group and Lendosphere launched a crowdfunding campaign for the expansion of the Santas solar plant, one of the largest in Portugal.
Anyone in the European Union wanting to contribute to the project was able to do so. Investments, made online, started at 100 euro, with no upper limit, for an annual interest rate of 7 percent.
The campaign met its target thanks to around 3,000 subscribers, raising 5 million euros.
