Transdev, The mobility company, one of the world's leading providers of mobility services, continues to develop and deploy sustainable solutions in line with its vision of mobility summarized by the acronym PACE: Personalized, Autonomous, Connected and Electric & Eco-friendly.

Personalized mobility requires the development of intelligent on-demand transport solutions, designed to provide travelers with services that best meet their needs, in order to promote multi-modality and improve mobility for all.

Transdev is actively working on the implementation of solutions that promote the emergence of shared autonomous mobility in the context of the operation of transport networks. This is the objective of the agreements concluded and the projects launched by the Group and its industrial partners, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and Lohr, and with local authorities, in particular the creation in France of the Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab.

In terms of connected mobility, Transdev has carried out a number of experiments in France - with the Mulhouse Mobility Account, which became operational on September 20 - and in the Netherlands. This type of mobility allows passengers to plan and carry out trips for each stage of their journey, relying on all available means of transport, including ticketing.

Transdev is at the forefront of the energy transition, already a reality in its field thanks to an offer of eco-friendly solutions for electric mobility. Transdev currently operates nearly 500 electric buses and minibuses in service at 27 sites in seven countries.

In addition to its traditional activities in public passenger transport, Transdev invests in four promising technological and innovative areas: Transport on Demand (TOD), Mobility as a Service (MaaS), new energy, electric and eco-friendly models and Autonomous Transport Services.

    Salon Mondial.Tech

On its Mondial.Tech stand located in Hall 7.3 – # J90, a space for exchange and meetings, Transdev will present to the media and visitors its expertise in shared autonomous transport systems, illustrated by the i-Cristal autonomous electric shuttle co-developed with its partner Lohr. The two French companies have integrated Transdev’s embedded intelligence technology known as “Transportation Technology by Transdev“, developed with the Transdev Group’s partner ecosystem, which includes the best research centers and leading industrial companies in the field of autonomous vehicles. The purpose of this technology is to enable i-Cristal to be integrated with optimal fluidity and safety in urban traffic, at a maximum speed of 50 km/h.

The i-Cristal shuttle, with a maximum capacity of 16 passengers, has a fast charging system that allows 50% of its battery to be charged in 30 minutes and all in 90 minutes. i-Cristal benefits from Lohr and Transdev’s industrial know-how in the design and operation of vehicles for public transport, which meet regulatory and approval requirements.

This winter, the first experiments of the i-Cristal shuttle integrated into Transdev’s Autonomous Transport System (ATS by Transdev) will take place in France: in Paris-Saclay, as part of the EVAPS project (Eco-mobility by Autonomous Vehicles Paris-Saclay), and in Rouen as part of the Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab project, the first shared and autonomous mobility service on demand on open roads in Europe. This experiment is presented by Transdev on its stand with: i-Cristal, the user application, the command and control center and the connected infrastructure.

Finally, on the occasion of the 2018 Mondial Paris Motor Show 2018, Transdev and NAVYA offer an autonomous, self-driving and electric transport service from Tuesday, October 2, 2018 to Saturday, October 6, 2018. The AUTONOM SHUTTLE vehicle will be available to journalists and visitors to connect Halls 2 and 7 hosting Mondial Tech. The service will work continuously as follows: on Oct. 2-3 from 8:30 to 11:30 & 14:00 to 19:00 then on Oct. 4-5-6 from 10:00 to 13:00 & 15:00 to 20:00
