As of July 1, 2025, Transdev has officially taken over the operation of the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority’s (VTA) ACCESS Paratransit service. This new partnership highlights Transdev’s ongoing commitment to accessible transportation solutions across North America.
The ACCESS service is designed to support individuals with disabilities —whether physical, visual, or cognitive — who are unable to use standard public transit options like buses or light rail. The service mirrors VTA’s fixed-route network in both coverage and hours, offering around 2,000 rides daily. The fleet includes a mix of cutaway vans, minivans, sedans, and taxis, all with accessible options available.
In addition to managing daily transit operations, Transdev North America is also responsible for overseeing the ADA Paratransit Eligibility Certification process. This ensures that those who require the service are evaluated fairly and efficiently.
This contract represents another step in Transdev’s mission to provide inclusive, equitable mobility solutions that empower people to move freely and independently.
