Whatever the mode of transit, the driver’s role is a core element of the activity, and of Transdev's mission. Driven by their passion for people and service, our drivers are ambassadors for their transit company or network, every day. They are also the interface between the public and the local authority.

What the job entails

Every day, you will transport passengers to their homes, workplaces and leisure destinations. You are aware of the human dimension of your work, and are helpful and welcoming; you greet passengers, give them information and advice, and sell tickets.

You are responsible for the safety of passengers on board, and your attentiveness helps you anticipate and act effectively in case of incident or unforeseen event.

About you

You are passionate about driving and tick all the boxes in terms of being rigorous and focused, having fast reactions, a sense of responsibility and a healthy lifestyle.

You are driven by a sense of service, you are punctual and considerate, and enjoy interacting with the public.

As an ambassador of the company, you pay close attention to your personal appearance and the image you present of your network and yourself.

Your experience

You are aged 21 or over, have a driver's license and are educated to at least secondary school level.

And later?

Transdev helps you define your own career path to suit your abilities and achievements, experience and skills acquired, as well as your aspirations and future plans. To support your development, you will have access to a dedicated careers team and tailored support.

Once you have gained a good grounding as a Driver, you may want to progress to a role such as Trainer, Sector Manager, Operations Agent, Planning Agent, or Operations Manager.

Become a Driver-Conductor at Transdev
