On May 5, 2022, the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) broke ground at the Chula Vista facility where Transdev operates one of the largest service contracts in North America.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by local media, as well as MTS and Transdev executives.  MTS’s commitment to go carbon free (zero emission) by 2040 is one of the first in North America.  The groundbreaking ceremony represents new charging stations that are quick charging with an overhead battery replacement.  The event was the start of the process of installing the required electricity to accommodate and meet the demands by 2040.

Transdev is proud to support MTS’s zero emission by 2040 campaign, and to be part of the first bus charging facility of its kind in North America.
