Transdev subsidiary Autocars Alizés has been chosen by the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolis to operate the urban public transportation 08network on the urban transportation network west of the Etang de Berre also known as the 0Métropole Mobilité network.
This new contract will begin on November 15, for a period of four years with an annual turnover of €15 million. Autocars Alizés will serve six municipalities (Istres, Miramas, Fos-sur-Mer, Grans, Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, Cornillon-Confoux).
The contract renewal is a reward for the work of local teams carried out on this network for several years, as well as the quality of the relationship with the community which has enabled us to lead several innovative projects (for example the first Flowly experiment in France and an experimentation with on-board bicycle racks) .
New challenges are to be expected for the Bouches-du-Rhône territory, with two high-level gas-powered bus lines (BHNS), adaptive on-demand transportation (TOD) and a hydrogen bus project.
