Joining from ProRail, the Dutch national rail network, Pier Eringa will take on his new position as of September 1, 2019. In this position, Pier will report to Christian Schreyer, CEO Northern and Central Europe of Transdev Group.
Transdev Netherlands, the parent company of Connexxion, Hermes and Witte Kruis among others, sees Pier’s appointment as a clear choice for the Group’s future development in the Netherlands with a focus on employees, customers, daily operations and tomorrow's mobility needs. Together, Transdev and Pier Eringa will continue on the path taken by Transdev towards a leading, cost-efficient and innovation-driven operator and integrator of public transport (bus and train), taxi, ambulance transport and new mobility services.

Pier Eringa has occupied a number of top management positions at public institutions including KNVB (the Royal Dutch Football Association), the Dutch Ministry of Justice, the Netherlands Police and the Albert Schweitzer hospital.
With its electric bus operations in Eindhoven and Amstelland-Meerlanden, Transdev is paving the way for 100% zero emission mobility along with its experiments in the field of hydrogen-powered electric buses in the country.
