He’s the Bury-born player who brought football home as part of the amazing England team now looking forward to our country’s first major football tournament final in 55 years – and today, his home-town bus company has unveiled its own moving tribute to defender Kieran Trippier.

Transdev subsidiary, Rosso is the leading bus operator serving the town of Bury where Kieran was born, and the village of Summerseat near Ramsbottom – and now it has named one of its ever-popular Bury Bolts buses after him, as a moving tribute to his achievements as part of the national side now preparing for tomorrow’s Euro 2020 final against Italy.

As well as naming a bus in Kieran’s honor, the bus firm is also lining up plenty more reasons to celebrate for the national side’s army of followers.

All journeys on any bus run by Rosso and its sister companies The Burnley Bus Company and the Blackburn Bus Company after 3pm on Sunday will cost just one pound, including longer distance services to Manchester, Burnley, Blackburn and Preston – making its buses the ideal way for fans to travel safely as they head out to watch Sunday evening’s final, and hopefully to celebrate another marvelous Wembley win.

We always like to celebrate one of our own, and they don’t come much bigger than Kieran Trippier after his rock-solid defensive performances for England on the road to our first major tournament final since 1966.

We also wanted to do something special for the England supporters who’ve cheered their team on through one nerve-wracking match after another in Euro 2020 – so any journey on our buses, any time after 3pm tomorrow afternoon will be just one pound.

Everyone here will be cheering England on – we’re so proud to serve Kieran’s home area. Football’s coming home by Rosso bus this Sunday in Bury and Summerseat!

Alex Hornby, Rosso CEO

The bus named Kieran Trippier in honor of the England defender will be in service this weekend on Rosso’s Bury Bolts bus network, which links Bury with Summerseat and Ramsbottom, Walmersley, Nangreave and Heywood.
