Night owls can fly home in Sky Class luxury from Manchester’s big night out

Lancashire’s late-night partygoers can look forward to a free chauffeur driven journey home in style from Manchester’s ever-popular Pride Festival as Witchway – the premium express service linking the Red Rose County with city center Manchester – reintroduces night buses to the superfast motorway route.

To celebrate the return of night services from Manchester to Rawtenstall and Burnley, Witchway’s operator Transdev is offering free trips home on its ‘Sky Class’ luxury buses when the services resume in the early hours of Sunday, August 29 – ideal for those planning to make a night of it at this year’s Pride event.

Saturday night’s Pride Festival is headlined by UK chart topping electronic dance music star Sigala and hit singer Katy B – with a further top-of-the-bill act due to be announced this Friday. The event is expected to attract visitors from throughout the UK to Manchester, and with city center parking at a premium, the Witchway express offers Lancashire revelers a stress-free journey to the heart of the city – and a free ride home!

Witchway buses leave Chorlton Street in Manchester – next to the coach station – at 12 midnight, 1am, 2am and 3am for the journey back to east Lancashire, and travel on these journeys will be free for everyone this Sunday morning.

From next weekend, the late night Witchway buses will be running every Friday and Saturday night – with all the Sky Class luxury features which have made the route successful included as standard, including:

  • High-comfort luxury seats, with leather head rests in Witchway’s signature orange and a choice of traditional duo and individual lounge seating
  • Spacious group and twin tables, plus double glazing with tinted glass
  • Wireless and USB mobile device charging, and superfast, free Wi-Fi
  • Full color next stop displays showing live bus and rail connections at key points
  • Contactless payments – swift and secure, with money-saving ticket options
  • A glass ceiling to gaze at the stars on night journeys home to Lancashire
  • The friendly voice of TV soap star Jennie McAlpine, announcing next stops and key information throughout the journey

The welcome return of night journeys on our Witchway express marks a further return to normality for our customers, and with Manchester Pride in full swing this Saturday night, the timing couldn’t be better.

Our Witchway buses start from Chorlton Street, which is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Homeground site at First Street where the Pride Festival’s big music acts will be on stage – and close to the Gay Village Party, famous around the world as a staple of this amazing event.

All the details of our Witchway timetable, including the night journeys and great travel offers for the journey into the city, are online now – so there’s no reason not to be planning for a great Saturday night out in Manchester by bus with us this weekend!
