Safer, Smarter, Stronger: Delivering the Next Chapter for Dublin’s Luas
Big changes are happening on the Luas network. Changes designed to make Dublin’s light rail system safer, more inclusive, and more resilient for its customers.
At the annual UK Tram light rail summit in Birmingham, Dave Rooney, Director of Operations at Transdev Ireland, shared how the Transdev team has been driving progress towards a Safer, Smarter, Stronger Luas through transformative initiatives including:
- Immersive accessibility training with Vision Ireland at the Wayfinding Centre.
- Delivering Ireland’s first geo-redundant control centre, ensuring uninterrupted passenger service.
- Revamping the Luas timetable to meet growing demand, especially at weekends.
These initiatives are already enhancing the customer experience and building a stronger, more sustainable Luas for Dublin.
At Transdev Ireland, we believe innovation and collaboration are the keys to shaping the future of urban mobility. We are proud to be driving that future forward.
