Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), April 18, 2023 – Transdev announces the appointment of Brian Brennan as Chief Executive Officer of Transdev Australia – New Zealand, effective since April 05, 2023. Brian will lead Transdev’s teams in Australia and New Zealand towards sustained growth in public transportation, responding in particular to the energy transition across modes. He reports to Antoine Colas, CEO International of Transdev Group and member of the Group’s Executive Committee.

    Brian Brennan, 57, an Australian and Irish citizen, has spent most of his career in the transportation industry where he has gathered experience over 23 years in the U.K., Ireland and Australia. Brian brings an in-depth understanding and experience to his new CEO role. Brian has a wealth of light rail experience, including leading the team that delivered Dublin’s, then Sydney’s light rail network and overseeing the building of the new Parramatta light rail line which is currently under construction.

    In 2000, he started his career in transportation at Connex Transport in London before joining Veolia Transport Ireland in 2003, where he was General Manager. Subsequently, in 2008, he held during seven years the position of Managing Director of Transdev Dublin, leading the successful launch and deployment of Dublin’s Luas light-rail operations since Day 1. In 2015, Brian was appointed Managing Director of Transdev Sydney Light Rail operations. Since January 2023, Brian was Deputy CEO of Transdev Australia - New Zealand.

     

    Brian is a graduate of the Dublin College of Catering and holds a BSc. degree in Management from the Trinity College in Dublin.
