Credit card validation on the MAT network

Starting June 2, 2025, the MAT transport network is introducing a simple and fast solution: contactless bank card validation directly on board buses. No need for a physical ticket anymore—just present your contactless bank card or your smartphone to the validator when boarding. An ideal solution for occasional travelers, tourists, or visitors.

At launch, 80% of the network’s vehicles will be equipped, with full deployment reaching 100% by the end of 2025.

Present your contactless bank card in front of the validator. If you hear a beep and see the green signal, your trip is validated. You can travel freely across the entire MAT network for 1 hour and 30 minutes at a fare of €2 per journey.

Are you with family or friends? Up to 4 accompanying persons can be validated with the same credit card or connected device (smartphone, watch). Simply present the card as many times as there are people, waiting a few seconds between each validation.

All CB, VISA, and MASTERCARD cards are accepted, as well as payments via Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. In the event of an inspection, simply present the card used for validation. To view your receipts or history, visit the dedicated page.
