Ethics and Compliance

Transdev carries out its missions with the support of thousands of employees. Each of them acts and makes decisions in accordance with strong ethical principles, at all times and around the world.

Our Code of Ethics, approved by the Board members, allows each Group employee or manager to know “how to correctly proceed”.

Our ethics and compliance standards

Our individual and shared principles, in line with our values, comply with our shareholders’ recommendations and with guidelines to which Transdev subscribes, such as the Global Compact. They shape the Group’s image and contribute to the relationship of trust built with our various partners.

Whatever our position in the company, we must keep them in mind and apply them every day, to help us in our choices and to ensure consistency in our actions and words.

Speaker: Philippe Levrat, Director of Risk, Insurance, and Compliance at the Transdev Group. What is compliance? Compliance means adhering to laws, regulations, our commitments, and our ethical principles. It is both an approach and a goal. Acting in the service of the common good is our raison d’être. This means that our actions and decisions must always be guided by strong ethical standards. We have formalized these standards in a code that is available to all our stakeholders and employees on the Group’s website, in French and English. This code is also translated into all of the Group’s languages. In each country, we have a representative whose mission is to communicate our actions within that country. What is the Group’s top priority regarding compliance? It is the fight against corruption. Corruption is a scourge for which we have zero tolerance. For example, we have a gifts and invitations policy that clearly explains what to do and what not to do when receiving or giving a gift or an invitation. What anti-corruption measures have been implemented? First, we identify the risks and prioritize them. Next, we define measures to address these risks. We explain to the relevant individuals what they need to do, which is the focus of, for example, training or awareness sessions. And we have just launched a new e-learning course on corruption. And finally, the last step is verification. Have the measures put in place actually been implemented, and are they effective?

An alert system which guarantees protection

Transdev has deployed a management system in each of the Group’s countries that enables employees to know ”how to correctly proceed”.

It includes a whistleblowing system which gives employees and external stakeholders the opportunity to report a compliance problem related to the Group (harassment, corruption, abuse, environmental damage, etc.).

Access to this reporting system is available through the SpeakUp® platform, a simple and secure reporting solution which allows information to be sent anonymously.
