Nihan Akyelken joined Oxford University in October 2008 as a researcher in the Transport Studies Unit of the Faculty of Geography and Environment. In February 2015, she began working as a lecturer in the Sustainable Urban Development program, and in January 2017, she was appointed Associate Professor in Sustainable Urban Development.

After studying engineering at Centrale-Supélec and public affairs at Sciences Po Paris, Nathalie joined ENGIE in 2010 as a research engineer on smart grids. She later became co-creator of an internal digital start-up. Subsequently, she developed a Smart City platform for local authorities in France to enhance their regional performance. She transitioned to ENGIE's subsidiary Ineo, where she served as Chief of Staff to Ineo's CEO, then Market Director for Connected Cities and Territories. Following this role, she moved to ENGIE's headquarters to develop service activities for cities, as well as the tertiary and industrial sectors, in France and internationally. Followingthe creation of the EQUANS Group within ENGIE, and its subsequent move to the Bouygues Group, she joined the Cities and Territories Division as the Director of National Activities and Major Projects.

Born on January 31, 1971, and member of the Socialist Party, Thierry Apothéloz serves as a State Advosir for the Republic and Canton of Geneva, overseeing the Department of Social Cohesion. He was initially elected to this role on May 6, 2018, and secured a second consecutive five-year term on April 30, 2023. Before his current position, he held the office of Administrative Councillor for the City of Vernier (GE) from 2003 to 2018, serving as mayor on seven occasions throughout his tenure. Prior to that, he served as a Member of the Grand Council from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, he chaired the Association of Geneva Municipalities and held the position of Vice President at the Hospice Général. His leadership extended to the presidency of OSEO Geneva until 2018. A graduate of the University of Geneva with a degree in Law, Thierry Apothéloz also holds a diploma from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HETS) in Social Work.

Tim Asperges is an Expert Advisor on Mobility for the city of Leuven. He played a central role in developing the city's mobility plan, making Leuven the first bike-friendly city in Belgium. He initiated several European projects focusing on new mobility services, data collection, modeling, and citizen participation, emphasizing citizen involvement and collaboration with urban actors in urban transformation and innovation.

Sébastien Bailleul is the Director of Institutional and European Relations at Wimoov, a mobility expert in France dedicated to supporting vulnerable populations towards sustainable, inclusive, and environmentally-friendly mobility. He works to strengthen institutional and European partnerships to promote inclusive and ecological mobility solutions, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of life for vulnerable populations.

An expert in urban innovation and gender equality strategies, she has managed and led dozens of programs for a large number of local authorities in France and abroad. She has also participated in several mobility initiatives, including the DIAMOND program (European H2020 project on women and transport), the European MobiliseYourCity program (advised the Haut Conseil à l'Egalité (HCE); and the symposia on “Femmes et Vélo, Femmes et Mobilités” (which she led).

Nicolas Bonnet is a French politician and engineer. Deputy for the 3ᵉ constituency of Puy-de-Dôme and member of the Ecologiste & Social group, he sits on the Commission du développement durable et de l'aménagement du territoire. Previously, he was deputy mayor of Clermont-Ferrand and delegate metropolitan councillor at Clermont Auvergne Métropole. Violeta Bulc, former European Commissioner for Transport, is a visionary leader, innovator, and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience. As CEO of Vibacom, she promotes ecocivilization and universal knowledge. She also sits on the board of the Europe-Asia Center and leads the G100 movement. During her tenure as Commissioner, she implemented policies promoting sustainable and inclusive mobility, fostering cross-border connections and safety standards in European transportation.

Professor Caulfield is Head of Discipline in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering. His research addresses global issues such as the environmental impacts of transport and methods to reduce the carbon impacts of transport. Professor Caulfield has published over 200 papers in international journals and conferences. He currently has 9 PhD students and 6 postdoctoral researchers in his research group. He is a Senior Editor of Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews and an Editor of Transport Policy. He is a member of the International Editorial Board of Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Case Studies on Transport Policy, the Journal of Cycling and Micro-mobility Research, and the Journal of Transport Geography.

Katarína Cséfalvayová is the co-founder and director of the Institute for Central Europe. She is also the Executive Lead of the Danube Tech Valley Initiative at Globsec. From 2016 to 2020, she was elected as a Member of Parliament in Slovakia’s National Council, where she chaired the Foreign Affairs Committee. Prior to that, she held the position of Vice Dean for International Development at the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Bratislava. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations. In 2020, French President Emmanuel Macron awarded Katarína with the National Order of Merit.

With over 30 years of experience as a renowned public transportation planner and policy advisor, Professor Graham Currie is the Chair of Public Transport at Monash University's Faculty of Engineering. He has published more research papers in leading international peer research journals in the public transit field than any other researcher in the world. He received the Engineers Australia Transport Medal in 2021.

Thomas Côte is the founder of wever, a French start-up initially specialized in short-distance carpooling that has created a participative mobility solution based on behavioral AI deployed in France a initially focused on short-distance carpooling. After a pivot in 2018, wever has since commercialized a participative mobility solution based on behavioral AI, deployed in France and Switzerland.

Jakop Dalunde is a member of the European Parliament for the Swedish Green Party since February 2020. He was also a member of the European Parliament from 2016 to 2019. Jakop serves as a member of the committee of Transport and Tourism (TRAN), a substitute member of the committee of Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), a substitute member of the Foreign Affairs committee (AFET) and is part of the delegation to Palestine. Jakop Dalunde has been working at The Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers, been Program Director for digital policy at the think tank Fores and did his military service as a firefighter. In politics, he has been spokesperson for The Swedish Young Greens (the youth wing of the Swedish Green Party), member of the City Council of Stockholm and a member of the Swedish Parliament 2014 to 2016, where he was a member of the Defence Committee. His expertise spans environmental issues, sustainable development, biodiversity, energy, land-use planning and local governance. As an environmental activist, Ronan Dantec also serves as the climate spokesperson for the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CCRE) and as president of the French NGO Climate Chance. As the head of the "Adaptation" commission within the National Council for the Green Transition, he has been a strong proponent of a climate warming trajectory based on the latest IPCC assessments.

Pierre Darmet holds a degree in engineering from the Institut Agro Rennes-Angers and an MBA in Economic Intelligence and European Affairs from the European School of Economic Intelligence and ISC Paris. He currently serves as the Director of Marketing, Communication, and Business Development at Les Jardins de Gally. Pierre is actively involved in initiatives that bridge the gap between living organisms and urban environments. He co-founded the International Biodiversity and Real Estate Council (CIBI), which created the BiodiverCity labels. As a member of the EELV (The Ecologists) party, Karima Delli has served as a French Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2009. Since 2017, she has served as Chair of the Transport and Tourism Committee within the European Parliament. In France, she was elected regional councilor for the northern Hauts-de-France region in 2021. As an expert in urban mobility, she advocates for a rapid transition to sustainable transportation modes and calls for greater cooperation between EU countries to solve cross-border mobility issues.

Susanne Eliasson is a French-Swedish architect. Alongside Anthony Jammes, she is co-founder and Partner of GRAU, an award-winning urban planning and architecture firm which received the Palmarès des Jeunes Urbanistes in 2016. Since 2021, she has served as Consulting Architect for the city of Bordeaux. Through numerous urban renewal projects, strategic studies on densification and master plans for new neighborhoods and housing projects, Susanne has developed expertise in housing issues. At her firm, she conducts research on what she calls the "Garden Metropolis", i.e. residential urbanization that emerged during the 20th century as a direct extension of major urban centers. In 2017, she published an urban planning book titled "Apprendre de Caudéran" (Learning from Caudéran). In 2022, the arc-en-rêve centre dedicated an exhibit to her firm's work titled "Métropole Jardin - Garden Metropolis".Susanne Eliasson and Anthony Jammes are the first residents of the Villa Albertine in Chicago, conducting a research project on Chicago's urban grid.In 2022, they won the tender to redevelop the area around Notre-Dame de Paris in France.

Isabel García Muñoz has been a Member of the European Parliament since 2019, representing Aragon, Spain. She was also elected to the Cortes (regional parliament) of Aragon and the municipal council of her hometown, Muel, in the same year. She sits on the Transport and Tourism Committee and the Budgetary Control Committee.

François Gemenne is a qualified researcher at the University of Liège, where he heads the Hugo Observatory. He is a lead author for the IPCC. He teaches at Sciences Po Paris and the Sorbonne.

After earning a degree in Business Engineering from the Université Catholique de Louvain in 2007, Aurélie spent 10 years working for ENGIE before moving into the world of start-ups with Skipr, where she held the position of CEO, and WeNow, which she joined in June 2023 as General Manager Benelux. Antoine Grange has been Transdev’s CEO Europe since 2022 and is a member of the Group Executive Committee. He oversees Transdev’s European operations, outside France and Germany, and represents the Group in its relations with European institutions. As Chairman of The Mobility Sphere, Transdev’s European think tank, he is actively committed to the decarbonization of public transport and to a pragmatic energy transition that supports everyday mobility and strengthens social cohesion. A graduate of École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, he has extensive international experience, notably gained within the Suez Group.

Ulrike Guerot is a German political scientist, founder of the European Democracy Lab, a think tank dedicated to the future of democracy in Europe. Committed to European democracy, she has contributed significantly to the reflection on the challenges and possibilities of European integration, with the construction of a more democratic and inclusive European Union, in order to strengthen legitimacy and participation of citizens at European level.

With a Ph.D. in Political Science, Dr. Charlotte Halpern is a FNSP tenured researcher at Sciences Po Paris’ Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics. Her primary research areas encompass state restructuring, policy change, and the selection of policy instruments, particularly within Europe and South America. Her research projects include CREATE, a European-funded project (Horizon 2020) focused on "congestion reduction in Europe'' and MEGOWAS (funded under USPC-NUS joint research projects) which explores "metropolitan governance of water systems.”

Soraya Hamrioui currently serves as Deputy Managing Director of Development at Grand Paris Aménagement. Within this organization, she previously held the positions of Delegate for Subsidiary Administration and Finance and Regional Director for Grand Paris Nord. From July 2017 to December 2018, she served as a budget and finance advisor in the cabinets of French Ministers Jacques Mézard and Julien Denormandie. She holds a Master's degree in Public Law.

Samah Karaki is a French-Lebanese neuroscientist, writer and mental health expert. She is the founder and director of the Social Brain Institute, a non-profit organization that uses the cognitive and social sciences to design strategies aimed at enhancing learning tools, organizational culture, and social and environmental justice. She is the author of “Le travail en équipe” (2021) and "Le talent est une fiction" (2023). Samah holds a PhD. in Neuroscience and two Master’s Degrees in Cognitive Neurobiology and Ecology.

Elisabeth Kotthaus is head of Unit at the European Commission's DG Transport, responsible for social aspects, passenger rights and equal opportunities. Committed to inclusive and equitable policies, she is recognized for her expertise in developing regulations to strengthen safety and passenger rights in Europe and helps promote diversity and inclusion in the transport sector.

Head of the Architecture and Urban Planning Department, whose work focuses on sustainable transformation through design and digitalization. Linda has extensive experience in R&D and strategic planning, gained in her previous positions, notably as head of architecture and urban planning issues at the state and municipal levels, and in various strategic roles.

Carole Labbé has been serving as Economic Counselor at the European Commission Representation in Paris since 2020. Prior to this, she held several positions within the Commission, including at the Directorate-General for Energy. With extensive international experience, she worked in Hanoi and Panama during her tenure at the French Ministry of Economy and Finance. Carole holds degrees from Sciences Po Paris and the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris.

Founder and President of DECYSIVE, Cécile Maisonneuve is a recognized expert on issues related to the energy transition. Author of numerous articles and analyses on energy, mobility, as well as geopolitical and urban topics, she also serves as a Senior Fellow for “Cities, Territories, and Sustainable Development” at the Institut Montaigne and as an advisor to the Energy and Climate Center at the French Institute of International Relations (IFRI). A graduate of the École normale supérieure, Sciences Po Paris, and holder of a Master’s degree in History from the University of Paris-Sorbonne, she brings her expertise to companies and international organizations as a speaker and consultant.

Thierry Mallet is Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Transdev and oversees its global activities. With 30 years of international leadership experience, Thierry joined Transdev in 2016 with the ambition to deliver inclusive, safe, and sustainable mobility tailored to the specific needs of each region and its population. His career in public service has been driven by the conviction that serving the public is both a duty and a privilege. After 8 years as the director of AREP's urban planning division, Madeleine Masse founded a design and territorial strategy agency in July 2022, committed to ecological and inclusive planning of the spaces that surround us. Mobility spaces are at the heart of the agency's projects. Specialized in the flows that shape public spaces, Atelier SOIL assists project owners in anchoring their projects in the territorial and urban context. Based on sensitive and scientific analyses and cartography, Atelier SOIL engages in the development of vibrant and resilient public spaces through tactical and lasting designs capable of accommodating future changes. A graduate of the Institut d'études politiques de Lyon in 1992, and a former student of the Institut des Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (1995), he began his career as a political associate in the French Senate, before joining the cabinet of the Rhône-Alpes Region, then the French National Assembly. He joined Transdev in November 2013, and is now the Group's Director of Public Affairs.

Daniel Mes began his career at the European Commission in the competition department, working on transport and digital issues. Since December 1, 2019, he has been a member of the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Climate Action, focusing on the digital aspects of the European Green Deal and sustainable tourism after COVID.

Upon earning a dual degree in engineering and architecture in Lyon, David Miet founded Villes Vivantes, an innovative start-up which aims to reinvent architecture and urbanism, in 2013.

Vincent Moindrot holds degrees from an engineering school and a business school. After founding and selling three start-ups, he is now the CEO of Carlili, a car rental service that delivers vehicles directly to customers. He founded Carlili in 2016, an ambitious project with a B2C model initially aimed at the Parisian market, before expanding nationally. In March 2024, Carlili was acquired by Rent-a-car. Vincent continues to serve as CEO of the company and remains a minority shareholder in the new structure.

A global expert in transport innovation, Zeina is co-founder of Cities Forum, and Vice Chair of ITS UK Road User Charging Forum. Zeina has over 25 years of global experience in strategy, consulting and innovation at KPMG, Parsons, Jacobs and AECOM. Zeina is a leading advisor for governments and a major global player in Smart & Sustainable Cities, Connected Autonomous Vehicles, Road Safety standards, Intelligent Mobility, and Road User Charging. Zeina specializes in Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Growth Strategy and Policy in the Middle East, Europe, S.E. Asia and the US. Zeina is a keynote speaker & author of over 100 papers of international magazines and conferences. In 2021-2022, Zeina led a research project for Centre for Connected & Autonomous Vehicles CCAV at UK Department for Transport DfT on assessing safety of teleoperation on UK public roads. Zeina was the chair of the ISO Technical Working Group TC204 WG1 on ITS Systems Architecture. Zeina also served as Director on the Board of Women in Transportation (WTS) in the USA. Zeina earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering from the American University of Beirut, a Master of Science (MSc) in Transportation Engineering from the University of Texas Austin, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Winner of the Choiseul Ville de Demain ranking in 2023 and 2024, Margaux Nebout has recognized expertise and 12 years' experience in urban studies, territorial strategy and, in particular, operational development. She currently heads up the urban planning activities of the SEGAT group, where she coordinates a team of 18 employees based in Marseille, Bordeaux, Lille, Toulouse and Fort-de-France. Her global vision and know-how in operational development strengthen the group's ability to meet the complex challenges of tomorrow's territories.

Jan-Christophe Oetjen was a Member of the European Parliament with the Renew Europe Group from 2019 to 2024. He held the position of Vice-Chair on the Committee on Transport and Tourism and served as a substitute on the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. Prior to his tenure in the European Parliament, he was a member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) in the Lower Saxony regional parliament from 2003 to 2019. A member of the FDP since 1995, Oetjen studied economics at the University of Hannover before entering politics.

Arnaud Passalacqua is a professor at the University of Paris Est-Créteil, based at the Paris School of Urban Planning. He specializes in mobility issues, taking a long-term historical approach to understanding the contemporary challenges that characterize them. He is notably co-chair of the Observatory of Cities with Free Transportation.

After completing his studies at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (1981-83), Jean-Pierre Thibault discovered the study of landscapes when he oversaw classified sites at the French Ministry of the Environment. The study of landscapes informs his public service and non-profit work. From 2014 to 2022, he served as “Inspecteur Général de l'Environnement”. He is also on the board of the French branch of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) and As President of the "Paysage de l'Après-Pétrole" collective, he wrote a book titled "aménager les territoires du bien-être", published by Editions du Moniteur. The book summarizes the organization’s arguments in favor of an ecological approach to landscape planning.

Antoine Poincaré has been head of the Climate School at AXA Climate since 2020, a program dedicated to raising awareness and providing training on the challenges of environmental transition for public and private organizations. A graduate of HEC, he previously worked in digital transformation training and audiovisual production at Elephant et Compagnie. In 2024, he co-authored the book “Green HR - When HR goes green” published by Dunod.

With a strong background in transportation, Laurent Probst is the Managing Director of Île-de-France Mobilités. Prior to his current role, he served as an advisor to Valérie Pécresse for over three years. After attending the Ecole Polytechnique, Laurent earned a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics.

Dominique Riquet is a former member of the European Parliament affiliated with Renew Europe and former mayor of Valenciennes. Formerly a surgeon, he currently serves on the Committee on Transport and Tourism and as a substitute member on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. With a forward-thinking approach to future mobility, he advocates for a transition to sustainable transportation, integrating green technologies and innovation for a more connected and eco-friendly Europe.

Xavier Roseren is a French politician focused on advocating for mountain regions and advancing the green transition. As mayor of Les Houches from 2008 to 2017, he played a key role in promoting sustainable development within his community, with a strong focus on tourism and environmental conservation. Prior to this, she spent 12 years at Greenpeace, serving as a program director, working on international projects related to transportation and urban air quality. She is also an accredited coach in sustainable development and runs her own consulting firm. Passionate about sustainable urban mobility, she aims to create cleaner and more dynamic cities by advocating for zero-emission mobility in Europe.

Adèle Tanguy is a researcher specializing in climate change adaptation policies within the Climate Program at the Institute for Sustainable Development and International Relations (IDDRI). Her work on adaptation focuses on national planning, the politicization of this issue and cross-border cooperation. After studying International Relations at the Political Institute of Rennes, Adèle earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy at the Paris School of International Affairs (Sciences Po).

Federico Tarragoni is a political sociologist and professor at the University of Caen-Normandie, where he is a member of the Risk and Vulnerability Research Center and co-director of the "Critiques" research group. Since 2023, he has been a junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. Founder of the Centre de recherches interdisciplinaires sur le politique (CRIPOLIS) at Université Paris Cité, he previously held the "Democracy" chair at the Circle U European University Alliance. As an expert in the radicalization of democracy between Europe and the American continent, he is the author of seminal works on populism. Philippe Van Parijs is a Belgian philosopher and economist, renowned for his advocacy of an unconditional basic income and his exploration of issues related to justice and equality in modern societies. He currently serves as chair of the Hoover Chair in Economic and Social Ethics. He is the author of many influential works, which shape debates on distributive justice and the future of welfare states.

Karen Vancluysen was appointed as Secretary General of POLIS in September 2014, after serving as the network's Research Director for 10 years. Prior to that, she served as Network Manager at ACCESS-Eurocities and as Project Manager at Langzaam Verkeer, a Belgian center for mobility management. Since 1998, Karen has been involved in European urban transport networking and policy activities, as well as EU research and innovation projects covering a wide range of urban mobility topics.

Jim Walker founded Walk21 in the year 2000 and has, for more than 20 years, championed a global network to grow sufficient evidence, knowledge and tools so that people can walk in safe, attractive and accessible environments wherever they live. His advice has helped 13 of the top 20 places to be independently accredited as the most liveable places in the world. However, his focus is increasingly on supporting women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities and those with low incomes - especially in low and middle income countries - so that their essential mobility is made visible and given priority.

After graduating from HEC Paris, Aymeric began an international career that took him to Canada, Scotland and Switzerland. Passionate about transportation and new forms of mobility, he founded Mobility Makers, a network that brings together over 8,000 mobility decision-makers worldwide.
