The mobility podcast

Societal changes raise hard questions for businesses. How does Transdev manage to stay ahead of what could impact it tomorrow? In each episode: one challenge, one voice from the field, and concrete answers to help prepare for the future.

What will the world look like tomorrow?

In a bus depot in Canada or on a tram network in northern France, the great transformations of our world – demographic shifts, climate change, technological disruption – are not abstract concepts. They are tangible, operational realities, day in, day out, for our teams, passengers and territories. Transdev, the mobility company, navigates this situation across the 19 countries it operates in.

In each episode of Transdev Forward, Laure-Anne Warlin, Head of Foresight, sits down with a Transdev colleague to explore one shared strategic challenge: How do you stay one step ahead in the world to come – and how can you keep anticipating despite instability and uncertainty? That is the question our guests will answer.

Transdev Forward is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Deezer.

S01E01 : Demographics

For mobility operators, demographic change raises two urgent questions: How will passenger needs evolve, and how will we find the people to serve them? For a Group operating across 19 countries with over 100,000 employees, these aren’t abstract concerns — they’re already being felt in the field.

Jessica Knechtel knows these issues well. As head of Transdev's student transportation division in the Greater Toronto Area, in Canada, she faces the many impacts of the demographic shift on a daily basis. In this inaugural episode of Transdev Forward, she shares what this means for the company – particularly in terms of recruitment and retention – and how she innovates every day to meet these challenges.
