TIGA Project - Intelligent mobility for all

Supported by the Métropole Rouen Normandie, 2019 winner of the Territoires d'Innovation de Grande Ambition (TIGA) call for projects, this project is being built in alliance with Le Havre Seine Métropole and Seine Normandie Agglomération.

The aim of this "Rouen Normandie - Intelligent Mobilities for All" project is to completely rethink the mobility system in order to design an offer integrating all modes, all services and all uses in the metropolis.

This program will also enable the development of collective and connected autonomous transport and a "multi-transport" app (Maas). Through this project, Transdev Normandie aims to be the 1st operator in Europe to deploy an autonomous collective and shared transport network, integrated with the territory's network in order to expand its service offering.

The TIGA project must meet 4 challenges:

  • Fluidify travel, by operationalizing intermodality (moving seamlessly from one mode of transport to another) and multimodality (taking a choice of different modes of transport), and supporting a service-based approach to mobility;
  • Diminish the environmental impact of mobility;
  • Reducing the physical impact of mobility and a positive, calming reinvestment of public space
  • Accompany changes in behavior.

The next steps in the "Rouen Normandie - Intelligent Mobilities for All" project include the creation of a European public-private model for autonomous mobility on the pioneering Seine Axis territory.

This with the objective of driving 5 million km in autonomous mode or working with the local population and employees to integrate autonomous mobility into professional uses and practices.

As a key player in the 1st territory to offer autonomous bus service in dense areas, integrated with the public transport network, by 2030, Transdev Normandie is working to co-construct the mobility of the future.
