Today, it is essential to contribute to the equitable development of regions and to boost mobility in sparsely populated areas. The challenge is to make it easier for residents to get around, with fast, fluid access to employment, training, business and shopping areas. Transdev is a major player in intercity transport, with expertise in school, regular and regional services on the Aléop network.

Transdev, a long-standing partner of SEMITAN

In order to carry out its missions successfully, SEMITAN relies on a service provider capable of supporting it in its day-to-day operating mission, covering all trades and disciplines, enriching the innovation dynamic to respond to the profound changes taking place, and assisting SEMITAN in some of its major projects, whether in the context of investment portage, project management or coordinator of mobility on its territory.

In 2019, Transdev, a partner of SEMITAN since its creation, has joined forces with Transamo, in order to offer all the complementary expertise and know-how of both, and has had its trust renewed for a period of 7 years.

Working alongside the regions to successfully open up the regional rail market

In five countries, including France, Transdev operates long-distance, regional, suburban, and rural rail lines, as well as tourist lines across 33 networks on a daily basis.

This expertise, which serves the regions, aims to improve their rail transport systems with a view to integrating services. Transdev is revitalizing the rail network in Brittany.

The Carhaix-Guingamp, Guingamp-Paimpol, and “La Vapeur du Trieux” lines play an essential role in the development of the Brittany region, both for passenger transport and freight activity. Transdev has been operating these two lines and their 90 kilometers of track since 2006.

The high-service bus (CHNS)

On board, passengers make the most of their journey time to get information, work or even rest.

In these high-comfort vehicles (reclining seats, airy, user-friendly spaces, tablets, air conditioning), passengers enjoy a wide range of services thanks to digital technologies: Wifi, dynamic screens, power and USB sockets, real-time information at stops, digital press, credit card payment...

11 vehicles are already in service, covering all travel motives:

- Tourism and leisure > lines linking Nantes to Saint-Jeande-Monts and Noirmoutier.

- School and work > the line linking Le Mans to Saumur via La Flèche.

We manage 10 on-demand transport services in the Pays de la Loire region in sparsely populated and suburban areas. These services are tailored to the needs of each territory to enable everyone to get to the city center or local hub.

10,000 customers transported each year by the Aléop Transport à la Demande service in Sarthe reserved for People with Reduced Mobility.

BUSES FROM NANTES TO MONTVAL-SUR-LOIR..

We support local authorities in the implementation of their urban services; as in Sablé-sur-Sarthe (Réso), Montval-sur-Loir (Coeur de ville) and Saint-Brévin-les-Pins (Brévibus) or as in Nantes (TAN), Angers (IRIGO), Laval (TUL) and Le Mans (SETRAM).

FROM THE ROAD TO THE LOIRE

La Compagnie des Bacs de Loire is an expert in navigation on the Loire, managing the two free maritime links between Le Pellerin and Couëron and Basse-Indre and la Montagne on behalf of the Conseil Départemental de Loire-Atlantique. This expertise is integrated into a range of maritime transport services 10,000 to La Loire (e.g. Navibus, managed by SEMITAN).
