Employment: A second life for medical aids

The Transdev Foundation has supported the Envie d'Autonomie project, which aims to facilitate integration into the workforce while repairing medical equipment.

Why this project?

Envie Autonomie is a network of social enterprises founded in 2015 to address both social and environmental challenges. The organization collects, reconditions, and resells used medical equipment at affordable prices to people with limited independence or disabilities.

How does the organization operate?

By collecting, refurbishing, and reselling used medical equipment at affordable prices, the organization creates jobs for people in job training programs. The process includes the collection, sorting, refurbishment, and distribution of equipment, as well as delivery and maintenance services. In 2022, with the support of the Transdev Foundation, Envie Autonomie opened its first branch in the Paris region in Tremblay-en-France, thereby contributing to local employment in an area with high unemployment.
