As of August 16, 2021, Sérgio Soares has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to take over the leadership of the Executive Board of Transdev in Portugal and Spain.
Sérgio Soares has a solid experience in the logistics and public transportation sector and comes to Transdev most recently from the position of Managing Director of Arriva Portugal. Prior to joining Arriva in 2019 as its Chief Operating Officer, Sérgio served as Deputy Managing Director of STEF Group for Spain and Portugal, the European leader for temperature-controlled logistics and transportation.
Sérgio holds an Economics degree from Lisbon School of Economics & Management and an MBA from Universidade Cátolica Portuguesa.
In his role as CEO of Portugal and Spain, Sérgio is responsible for the Group’s activities and the implementation of the Moving You strategy in both countries. He will be part of the leadership team of the Western Europe & Mediterranean Zone.
