Transdev brings its expertise to student transport by operating dedicated bus networks across East Lancashire and West Yorkshire. Working in partnership with schools, colleges, and local authorities, we provide safe and reliable connections between towns, villages, and education facilities. Our goal is to make daily travel simple, secure, and accessible for young people as they pursue their studies.
Student Transport Services with Transdev
At Transdev, we deliver tailored transport solutions in partnership with schools, colleges, and local authorities. Our services connect communities across East Lancashire and West Yorkshire, ensuring students travel safely and reliably to their places of study.
East Lancashire Routes
- Nelson & Colne College: Five dedicated bus lines link Clitheroe, Barnoldswick, Todmorden, Burnley, and Wilpshire.
- Burnley College: Free travel for ID card holders from Thornton-in-Craven, Barnoldswick, Earby, Colne, Barrowford, and Ribble Valley villages such as Brownhill, Langho, Whalley, and Sabden.
- Other Schools: Services also run to All Saints RC High School (Rawtenstall), Clitheroe Royal Grammar School, and Skipton Girls’ High School.
Collaboration & Safety
We work closely with Lancashire County Council and college administrators to plan routes, manage passes, and maintain high standards of security and safety.
West Yorkshire Network
In West Yorkshire, Transdev operates more than 40 student-only routes in partnership with the Combined Authority (Metro).
Ticket Options
- Standard tickets accepted across most services.
- Pre-booked travel available on selected routes, secured with a deposit.
- Academic year passes (September–July) valid on student and regular Transdev buses.
- Flexible delivery: mobile tickets with monthly payments or discounted smartcards for the year.
