Innovative mobility solutions in the Île-de-France region
Innovating to offer freer, more flexible, more autonomous mobility. A forerunner in autonomous vehicles since 2005, Transdev develops new mobility solutions and facilitates travelers' journeys.
Transdev Île-de-France
is investing to increase the modal share of public transport in the region, in order to relieve traffic congestion at railway stations and parking facilities for private vehicles. In this way, we are doing everything we can to open up the region and accelerate its economic development.

Autonomous transport, a new way to be mobile
Since 2005, our expertise in shared autonomous transport has enabled us to offer travelers a comprehensive range of services. We launched our first service in Rotterdam, connecting a metro station with a business center, and have since consolidated this experience through pilot projects addressing increasingly complex and flexible use cases, including operations on open roads, such as in Rouen.
Autonomous mobility to meet the challenges of Paris‑Saclay Carried out with the support of the French government’s “Investments for the Future” program entrusted to ADEME, the EVAPS project (Eco‑mobility with Autonomous Vehicles in the Paris‑Saclay area) will allow Transdev to operate an autonomous shuttle on the dedicated bus lane between Massy and the Saclay plateau, addressing a dual challenge:
- Shared and integrated mobility We are implementing Île‑de‑France Mobilités’ proactive approach to new mobility. By offering additional services and timetables during nighttime and off‑peak hours, we provide users with autonomous mobility solutions within an existing transport network.
- Technical challenge Our service integrates seamlessly into traffic flow and reaches speeds compatible with it (between 30 and 50 km/h), while ensuring full safety guarantees for passengers.
