In the Netherlands, Transdev connects transport networks to on-demand services
Integrating on-demand transport into traditional public transport networks is a key part of our strategy, because it is by ensuring smooth journeys that we will win over passengers and make public transport the obvious choice! In the Netherlands, we launched the BrengFlex solution in 2016, which is now deployed in three public transport networks across the country, representing a minor revolution in everyday mobility.
Successful solutions tested in several urban areas
Our Flex solutions adapt to the needs of each city to complement their transportation networks. An easy-to-use app allows passengers to reserve seats in one of the fleet's low-emission vehicles to take them to their bus stops. Our three Flex services, BrengFlex, BravoFlex, and AMLFlex, use cutting-edge technology to plan and optimize routes for smooth journeys. The AMFLex service, which serves stations in the Amsterdam metropolitan area, quickly reached 9,000 passengers per month.

Guaranteeing the quality of service essential to passenger loyalty
Learn more about our on-demand transportation solutionsWe pay particular attention to this first/last mile service by recording and carefully analyzing passenger data. Continuous feedback from passengers allows us to quickly make changes to the service and routes offered. Flex also caters to more vulnerable individuals: the shuttles are equipped with an electric ramp and a space reserved for wheelchairs. Nursing homes and retirement homes are frequently served to ensure the mobility of elderly people.
In the Netherlands, these services transport around 24,000 passengers per month; BrengFlex has even managed to convert a large number of motorists, who now represent 16% of its customer base.
