The Transdev Academy is launched in France!

With 90 apprentices embarking on driver training between September and December 2020, more than 250 apprentice drivers in 2022 and a pace of 500 apprentices per year in 2023, we have made the choice, with Académie by Transdev, to look resolutely to the future, to be a committed player in the recovery plan by working for economic and social reconstruction alongside Mobility Organizing Authorities.

• AFTRAL, the No. 1 player in training for logistics professions, with 120 training centers and 101 schools specializing in transportation and logistics,
• ECF Pro, a leading player in the fields of transport, operations, workplace safety and road safety, with a network of 86 training institutes.

To meet the local training objective of the Academy by Transdev, partnerships with players within the territories themselves will be forged as the rollout progresses.

At the same time, apprentices will be able to count on support throughout their journey from apprenticeship masters, experienced drivers and company referents. With this organization,  our ambition is to favor skills development and encourage diversified career paths. By allowing our employees to become apprenticeship masters and pass on their know-how to newcomers, we capitalize on the trade expertise of our teams.

Designed without its own premises, the Académie by Transdev relies on its strong partnerships with national and local players for insertion, employment and training, to co-construct with local players the most effective training solutions for mobility professions.

We want to go even further in terms of integration through employment and qualification by opening up access to mobility professions through apprenticeships and sandwich courses.  From 2021, training courses will be offered by integrating pre-qualification schemes. The Académie by Transdev is committed to the inclusion of the public furthest from employment. 

The companies involved in this project are committed to sharing information about changes in their workforce within their respective structures, by region, and to matching job vacancies at one company with potential adjustments that may be planned at another.

This collaborative effort will also make it possible to identify the skills required to fill these positions and to propose support and transition solutions from one company to another, with a view to preserving employment.

Also plans to expand its training schemes to other mobility professions from 2022. This choice aims to strengthen the diversity of Transdev teams, an essential lever for developing the commitment of our employees and the attractiveness of the company.

The Academy by Transdev enables us to raise awareness of our business and, above all, to provide training in mobility professions, which are constantly evolving to continue to offer a quality service to Mobility Organizing Authorities and passengers. We are very proud of the creation of the Académie by Transdev, which will help to revitalize our regions through training and integration through employment.
