To bring this vision to life, we first need to enable people to reclaim public space, which is currently dominated by cars, primarily to help communities thrive.” “Secondly — and this is a very important point — we must encourage active mobility. We need to motivate people to walk and cycle more, and even to use scooters. To achieve this, we need more infrastructure and more supportive conditions.” “The third pillar is the promotion of and investment in public and shared transportation. It is clear that any healthy urban environment must rely on a strong, accessible, and affordable public transport network as its backbone, enabling people to move freely.” “Finally, for all trips that cannot be made by other means, people must have access to electric vehicles. Ideally, these vehicles should be small and shared.”
