The By Transdev Auvergne Rhône Alpes Academy

On September 28, 2020, the inauguration of the 1st "Academy by Transdev" class in Saint-Etienne took place in the presence of Gael Perdriau president of Saint Etienne Métropole, Edouard Hénaut managing director Transdev, as well as Ludovic Jourdain director of the transport network for the Saint-Etienne conurbation.

Transdev, a major player in local employment, is launching its new Apprentice Training Center (CFA) in Saint Etienne to recruit and train bus and coach drivers in the territories.

Some fifteen apprentices are trained free of charge in passenger mobility professions, working in pairs with an apprentice master.

Created at national level, Académie by Transdev sets up apprentice driver training sessions dedicated to territories and delivered locally, as close as possible to needs. With 90 apprentices embarking on driver training between September and December 2020, more than 250 apprentice drivers in 2022 and a rate of 500 apprentices per year in 2023, Transdev is making the choice, with Académie by Transdev, to look resolutely to the future, to be a committed player in the recovery plan by working for economic and social reconstruction alongside Mobility Organizing Authorities.

The Académie by Transdev offers apprentices diploma courses that will enable them to obtain Diplomas and Titles recognized by the State and the profession: CAP d\`agent d\`accueil et de conduite routière, Titre Professionnel de Conducteur de Transport en Commun sur Route.

Because public transport is at the heart of the city, Transdev is very proud of the creation of the Academy, which is at the service of the revitalization of territories via qualification and integration through employment.
