Adapted mobility services in Strasbourg

Vélhop is the shared bike rental services of the Strasbourg Eurometropole, which has been in existence since 2010. The company has a diversified and inclusive fleet comprising 30 adapted bikes (8 different types of bike). In this context, Transdev, as Strasbourg Mobilités' innovation partner, has deployed the first Mobility Experience Laboratory (LEMON) dedicated to bicycles.

To accompany its launch, Vélhop set up a specific communication plan and presented the service to key prescribers, disability associations, hospital environments, EHPAD and senior residences.

The company has also organized free coaching and learning sessions on how to handle the bikes, as well as adapted bike rides supervised by professionals.
