Starting 1 January 2026, Transdev will bring its expertise to the operation of the Lila Presqu’île transport network, serving the territory of CapAtlantique La Baule – Guérande Peninsula. This contract highlights the Group’s ability to design, operate and develop multimodal, high‑performing and sustainable mobility networks, closely aligned with the needs of local communities.
A Structuring Network Serving Everyday Mobility
Awarded for a duration of five years, the public service delegation contract entrusted to Transdev covers a network serving the entire territory of CapAtlantique La Baule – Guérande Peninsula.
Each year, 2.78 million revenue kilometres are operated to serve municipalities, improve access to services, employment and key activity centres, and offer a reliable alternative to private car use.
Through this mission, Transdev reaffirms its expertise in the operation of urban and interurban networks, combining operational performance, service continuity and a high‑quality passenger experience.
A Multimodal and Evolving Transport Offer
The Lila Presqu’île network is built on a comprehensive and diversified offer, designed to address a wide range of uses and passenger profiles:
- Regular and school routes, ensuring appropriate territorial coverage,
- Flexible Demand‑Responsive Transport, enabling fine‑grained service in less densely populated areas,
- Transport for Persons with Reduced Mobility (PRM), guaranteeing accessibility for all.
From 4 July 2026, this offer will be enhanced to support changing mobility needs and improve network clarity and usability.
Recognised Expertise in Active Mobility Solutions
The operation of the Lila Presqu’île network also includes an ambitious cycling offer, reflecting Transdev’s expertise in developing solutions complementary to public transport:
- 1,450 bicycles available for medium‑ and long‑term rental,
- 400 bicycles offered through a bike‑sharing service,
- The deployment of secure bicycle parking facilities, promoting intermodality.
This approach encourages active mobility and strengthens complementarity between different modes of travel.
A Network Takeover Based on Human Support
The success of the operation also relies on strong attention to supporting teams during the transition phase.
Transdev implements a structured employee transfer approach, including:
- Collective information sessions,
- Individualised support,
- A dedicated point of contact to secure career paths and ensure a smooth and respectful transition.
This human‑centred approach is a cornerstone of the Group’s expertise in taking over and developing transport networks.
Operational Deployment and Service Innovation
The first months of the contract are dedicated to a large‑scale operational deployment phase, leveraging the Group’s cross‑functional expertise:
- Mobilisation of a fleet of 130 vehicles,
- Installation and adaptation of infrastructure,
- Deployment of digital services (website, mobile application, real‑time passenger information),
- Recruitment of new employees to support the network’s ramp‑up.
This ability to simultaneously manage operations, innovation and human resources illustrates Transdev’s comprehensive expertise in launching major transport networks.
Collective Expertise Serving Local Communities
The Lila Presqu’île project relies on the joint mobilisation of Transdev teams from Brittany, Pays de la Loire and Centre‑Val de Loire, demonstrating the Group’s capacity to pool regional expertise around a shared mobility vision.
Through this new mission, Transdev reaffirms its commitment to working alongside local authorities to develop sustainable, accessible and locally adapted mobility solutions, at the heart of territories.
