Transdev Chile has launched its Women's Community, Movilidad con rostro de mujer, to strengthen women's place in mobility. One year on, 77 women have been trained as professional drivers and internal satisfaction has risen from 61% to 75%.

One year on, what has changed

  • First public transport company in Chile certified under the NCh 3262 gender equality standard.
  • A programme launched to move from policy to culture, with the Women's Community.
  • A founding seminar bringing together teams, leaders, public authorities and partners.
  • A training course of more than 460 hours, alongside mentorship programmes.
  • Results measured after one year, on careers as well as on the internal climate.

Why did Transdev Chile launch the Women's Community?

After obtaining the NCh 3262 certification, the company wanted to take the next step and move from policy to culture.

The Women's Community aims to strengthen women's leadership and highlight their contribution in a sector historically dominated by men. By creating a network of support and mutual assistance, the initiative encourages more women to join the sector and grow within it.

"It carries a simple message: mobility also has a woman's face."

Carolina Paredes, Human Resources Manager, Transdev Chile

How was the programme launched?

The official launch took the form of a seminar, El mundo avanza, nosotras también, meaning the world advances and so do we. It brought together operational teams, leaders, public authorities and partners to discuss gender challenges in public transport.

The event was also an opportunity to share the first progress achieved through the NCh 3262 certification and to present a roadmap for strengthening women's roles in mobility.

What results were achieved in one year?

The effects can be measured both on individual careers and on the internal climate. The training programme, of more than 460 hours, enabled 77 women to become professional drivers, while more than 30 others took part in mentorship programmes.

Over the same period, internal satisfaction rose from 61% to 75%, a 14 point gain in a single year, reflecting a more inclusive and supportive working environment.
