Mobiave: ridership doubled in one year

Launched on 1 April 2025, the Mobiave multimodal network serves Vila Nova de Famalicão, Santo Tirso and Trofa. Its ridership has doubled compared with the previous operation.

What was the aim of the Mobiave network?

The aim was to connect three municipalities more effectively and make it easier for residents to reach key destinations: schools, business areas, railway stations and healthcare services.

The rollout came with a significant increase in services and a simpler, more advantageous ticketing system inspired by models used in major metropolitan areas. Accessibility was strengthened through the integration of vehicles adapted for people with reduced mobility.
