SURF Bike: Accessible electric bike rental service

SURF Vélo is a long-term electric bike rental service designed to facilitate access to sustainable transportation in the Fougères metropolitan area, with service provided by Transdev Fougères and maintenance included.

Launched in 2024, SURF Vélo allows users to rent an electric bike all year round, for 3 to 12 months, to encourage everyday travel by electric bike, without the hassle of maintenance.

Terms of access

The service is reserved for adults residing in the Fougères Agglomération area. Proof of address and identification are required. In case of unavailability, a waiting list is provided.

Fleet and models

The fleet includes 110 electric bikes, including 6 cargo bikes (family, pro, midtail, longtail) to meet different needs.

Prices

Available options: 3 months for €90, 6 months for €180, 12 months for €300 (with 2 months free). For cargo bikes: €50/month, maximum duration 3 months. A security deposit is required.

Field actions

The service includes in-company presentations to raise awareness, participation in mobility events, and the production of video testimonials to highlight feedback.

Despite the arrival of a new fleet, all the bikes were rented out for several months, demonstrating the strong interest of residents in this solution.
