Around the world, light rail transit (LRT) has become the symbol of a revival in public transportation. LRT does more than just modernise mobility. The Dublin Luas light rail system has breathed new life into Dublin through two lines (the Red line and the Green line) that serve the metropolitan area. An alternative to cars in cities, freed from the constraints of traffic jams, it provides its passengers with speed, frequency, on-time performance and accessibility.n
The Red Line is 20 kilometers long and has 32 stops while the Green Line is 24 kilometers long and has 35 stops.
